Meloni thanks Trump. Zelensky is "seeking a diplomatic solution."

The President of the Council, Giorgia Meloni "participated today, together with the Leaders of Ukraine, Finland, France, Germany, Poland, United Kingdom, Union European and NATO, on a phone call with President Trump ahead of his meeting with President Putin in Alaska August 15. The summit was preceded by a coordination European, always at the leading level, and followed by the performance of a new meeting of the Coalition of the Willing". This is what we read in a note from Palazzo Chigi which reports that Meloni "expressed appreciation for the efforts made by the President Trump, reiterating the importance of continuing to work with the United States to stop the conflict and achieve a peace that ensures sovereignty and security of Ukraine, and thanked President Zelensky for the seriousness demonstrated so far in the search for a solution diplomatic".
